CONTEST DETAILS

For Artists Entering the Contest: 

The DeliRadio 2013 Battle of the Bands is free to enter!  Here's what you need to do:

1. Go to DeliRadio.com - click "join" - and create a free Artist Profile for your band.  Upload at least 2 original tracks and 1 photo.  Don't forget to add "BOTB2013" in the Tags field of the Genre tab on your Artist Profile.  (That's the minimum requirement, but you should fill out as much of your DeliRadio Artist Profile as possible to make your Artist Page attractive and useful.)  

2. Complete and Submit the Official Entry Form located on this website.  Submission Deadline is Friday, February 1, 2013 at 11:59 pm PST.

8 to 10 Finalists will be asked to perform live at the DeliRadio 2013 Battle of the Bands concert at Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center on Feb 16, 2013 from 10am until 5pm.  All Finalists who perform at the Concert will be judged by a panel of industry professionals as well as voting members of the live audience.

One band will be eligible to win the Grand Prize - a recording session with a producer, sound engineer and loads of gear and instruments at Opus Studios in Berkeley, CA.  

The runner-up will receive a recording session with student sound engineers and supervisors plus gear at Ex'pression College for Digital Arts in Emeryville, CA.  

Grand Prize and Runner-Up Prize winners will own the masters to their recordings and receive all the digital files from the sessions. 

The third place prize is TBA.  

There is a limit of one entry per Band and per Band member.  DeliRadio reserves the right to disqualify entries if multiple submissions are received from the same band, or if the same band member appears on multiple submissions.

Bands should use the “share” links on their Deliradio Artist Profile and the music player to promote their entry web-wide and get friends and family to “star” their Band.  Note that you can also star 'Tracks', but only 'Artist' Stars will count towards the Finalist selection process.  You can learn about Stars and a lot more over at DeliRadio101.com.

In order to be considered for the Finalist selection a band must have collected at LEAST 25 "band" stars.

Your music will be included in the BotB2013 Station, promoted on Facebook and Twitter.  If you've filled out your artist profile on DeliRadio, then we'll add your band to this station as soon as we receive your Entry Form.  Applying for the contest early gives your band more exposure, and a longer time to gain Stars from DeliRadio listeners.

For the Finalists:

For the Main Event, the Finalists will be divided into two sets, and you'll be notified ahead of time which set your band will be playing in.  However, the exact order of the bands to take the stage will be determined randomly that morning.

For the Fans:

You can come to this site to listen to all the submissions and cast votes for your favorites.  Although you can star tracks and albums as well, only stars applied to Bands will be taken into consideration during the selection process.

You must have a DeliRadio account to “star” any Band you think should win the Contest! And yes – you may star multiple Bands (if you think they deserve it).  Visit DeliRadio.com and click “join” to create your own free account.
